Dr. Peter Ruddock PhD. joined the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) in 2012 as Manager of the Renewable Energy and Efficiency Department and now serves as Manager, Special Projects. He has extensive knowledge and experience in science and research, garnered through his academic and professional endeavours. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and was awarded Postdoctoral Fellowships by UWI and Brock University in Ontario, Canada..
Prior to taking up his post at the PCJ, Dr. Ruddock spent more than 12 years as Branch Manager/Senior Research Scientist for Tanaud International BV, the local branch of Shire Pharmaceuticals, an international pharmaceutical company. He also held various positions in the UWI Chemistry Department including Lecturer and Project Manager for the Research Group.
While at the UWI, he was awarded the Kaiser Bauxite Company’s Undergraduate Bursary and a Postgraduate Scholarship.
