Denise Arana is the General Manager of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Privatisation at the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ.) She holds an MBA from the Manchester Business School, England; a post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies (UWI), and a B.Sc. in Natural Sciences, also from UWI.
Mrs. Arana has over 25 years of public and private sector experience in commercial, investment and development banking. She currently has oversight of the GOJ’s privatisation and PPP (P4) programme and has led DBJ’s involvement in developing and executing several initiatives including the introduction of a formal PPP policy and programme in 2012; implementing a PPP capacity building programme and establishing a project preparation fund to support P4 project development. The P4 Division has provided transaction management support to several government agencies, facilitating the completion of over 23 P4 transactions since 2009.
