Brian Samuel is the Head of PPPs at the Caribbean Development Bank where he is spearheading the Banks’s initiatives improve the enabling environment for PPPs in the Caribbean, and to build up a pipeline of bankable projects within the Region.
Mr. Samuel worked for twenty years with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where he led project financing, privatization and PPP deals in the Caribbean and Africa. Projects included Haiti Flour Mill, Trinidad and Tobago Methanol Company, Uganda Telecoms, Air Tanzania; and the tendering of eco-tourism Concessions for South African National Parks (SANParks).
Mr. Samuel was Vice-President at Castalia Strategic Advisors, where he led consultancy assignments for multilateral agencies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Samuel worked in public utilities, shipping, agriculture, aquaculture and tourism. He is a Grenadian national whose interests are reading, writing, sailing and traveling off the beaten track.
